• Conducting applied and basic research in the field of recognizing, controlling and optimizing leishmaniasis treatment methods in order to effectively apply the research results
• Conducting epidemiological research on the vectors and reservoirs of leishmaniasis in the province
• Conducting applied and basic research on the production of an effective vaccine against cutaneous leishmaniasis
• Attracting cooperation from other national and international research centers to conduct joint research

• Conducting research projects in the field of epidemiology (humans, vectors and reservoirs) for preventive and control measures of leishmaniasis
• Conducting research projects to find new drugs or formulations of drugs used in more effective treatment of leishmaniasis and prevent drug resistance
